What better way to celebrate your 50th birthday than throwing a party and inviting anyone who’s passionate about bikes?! Well, that’s exactly what the Mongoose team did on August 10th at the Riveter in Mills River, NC. We had hundreds of riders and fans from far and wide show up to ride the Mongoose 50th Jam and hang out with the pros!
The 50th Jam was all about showcasing the most important thing about the Mongoose brand and riding bikes in general…fun! The Jam highlighted amateur riders from multiple classes, and the Mongoose team handed out Standout Rider and other awards. While one rider from each class won a trophy, everyone who entered the Jam was a winner!
The Mongoose pros on hand was truly a who’s who in the cycling world, featuring Kevin Peraza, Mykel Larrin, Nikita Ducarroz, Josh Hult, Matty Cranmer and Brayden Barrett- Hay! We also had some impressive special guests with us in Victor Peraza, Mason Hayes, Brandon Hopkins and Reid Casey! Having Reid out there was incredibly special for the brand, and he was out there rocking his dad’s prototype frame keeping Pat’s presence with us all!
We have a recap video coming out soon that will really showcase the vibe from the 50th Jam event. From all the BMX and MTB action to the games of Foot-down and the Classic BMX Show, you will get to relive the 50th celebration! In the meantime, check out a few of our favorite photos and keep on riding! You will also get to see what trick won the $500 USA BMX Freestyle award!
A huge THANK YOU to the Riveter crew for letting us use their first-class facility and for being so welcoming everyone, and of course, to the hundreds of riders and fans who made the trip to help celebrate our birthday!
